Allieds up to third with game in hand
By John Anderson
Tight match settled just before half-time
Holmer moved up to third, with the chance to go top if they win their game in hand.
Josh Todd continued his scoring streak with an early strike. But the match was in the balance until two goals in quick succession immediately before the break. First Luca Perrin doubled Holmer's lead with a great low shot from well outside the box. Then Cameron Flaxman intercepted a back pass to force in the third.
The second half was again tight, but Holmer held on keeping a clean sheet. Although Manager Ian Lancaster will perhaps be critical of his side's ability to keep the ball better?
