Title contenders Berko given tough game by The Greens.
No disgrace in defeat compounded by late goals in each half.
Holmer suffered when expecting to field an unchanged team from the successful one at Biggleswade United, they had to make a late change and then lost Dean Powles before half-time.
Jamie Britnell failed a late fitness test, and Powles took the field although not fully fit. Young Mason Scott stepped in for Britnell and completed a youthful defence, who did well against probably the most talented forward line in the Division.
The Greens held out for 30 minutes until Coughlan, who was a thorn in the home defence all night, raced clear and sent in teasing low cross which Morrisey converted. Powles had to be withdrawn on 41 minutes, being replaced by Adam Milligan. But in the few minutes before half-time Holmer concede again when Coughlan this time set up Field for a chance taken at the second attempt. HT 0-2
Berko again controlled the second period, but with the third goal failing to materialise Holmer was always in the game. New boy and substitute Charlie Bull had The Greens' best openings, but the ball never seemed to run kindly in the Berko area. Berko did have a goal correctly chalked off for offside on 79 minutes. Going into stoppage time Holmer seemed to have a good chance to reduce the deficit. But Bull's first effort was parried by Tasker and the rebound from was sent straight at the 'keeper too. The visitors broke away, and a right wing cross from the bye-line found Field who nodded in his second from point-blank range.
